Clareview Head Start is a comprehensive preschool & family support program for families with low incomes.

One in five children in Alberta lives in poverty. The highest rates of poverty are in families with children under five years old. These early years are the most critical time in a child’s development. In fact, early experiences at home and school are the foundations for a child’s future educational and life success.

Head Start is a positive introduction to school experiences and a bridge linking children and families to community resources. Our goal is to prepare children for a successful educational experience, in partnership with their family.

The Clareview Head Start program believes in a Learning Through Play philosophy.

Each child attends program 4 half days per week.  A team of professionals, including Teachers, Early Childhood Educators, Key Workers, Outreach Workers, Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Health professionals and more, work with the child and family to enhance all areas of growth.

Curriculum and learning plans are designed to enhance the development of each individual child in preparing them for their school years.

Parents are involved in setting goals for their child’s development and are encouraged to participate in the program.

Transportation and nutritional snacks are provided to those attending the program.
