Early Head Start is a comprehensive long-term early intervention program.  The focus of Early Head Start is on enhancing child development by supporting the family as primary educators of their children during the critical first three years of the child’s life.

We believe

What do we do?

EHS targets three key areas:

Who do we help?

We provide

About Early Literacy

Parents and children learn songs and rhymes to develop each child’s oral language. Parents discuss how they use literacy at home and in the community.

About the Playgroup

You and your child would come to playgroup once a week. The focus is on learning through play, where children develop skills and strengths in all areas of their development. It is a time for adults and children to have fun together.

About the Parent Group

This is a chance for parents to spend some time with other adults and to have a break from their routine. Parents meet together, share information and talk about issues that are important to them. While you are in the parent group, your child plays and is cared for in the playgroup.

About the Home Visits

Home visits are a time to meet one-on-one with a consultant to discuss the issues that are important to you and to help achieve your family's goals.
