What is the Northeast Community Program?
E4C’s Northeast Community Program is an after-school program working with children to help them gain skills, make friends and have fun.
Formerly known as the Northeast Teen Drop-in Centre, the program has been running youth-based programming since 1991 reaching at-risk children and youth and providing them with social supports and preventative programming.
The Northeast Community Program is a program of E4C, a charitable organization in Edmonton committed to changing lives and growing stronger communities.
Goals of the Northeast Community Program:
Let children participate group discussions and role-modeling while learning about the importance of respect.
Engage children with skill-based activities that teach important social skills.
Equip children with the information that will help them make healthy choices.
Provide a space where children feel free from judgment and are supported.
Further enhance existing school curriculum with life-skills development.
Help participants learn the value of working as a team and the importance of friendships.
E4C believes that all children deserve the chance to explore, learn and develop through play.
