The Women Moving Forward Program (WMF) addresses pre-employment readiness for homeless women residing at E4C's shelter programs: the Women's Emergency Accommodation Centre (WEAC) and Elizabeth House.
The goals of the program are to support women to:
- Achieve stability in their lives by addressing issues contributing to their homelessness
- Facilitate their access to and use of existing government and community programs which can help them achieve stability and enhance their employment readiness
- Access training and ultimately find and maintain sustainable employment
- Getting started by changing personal circumstances
- Cultural connections
- Employment and life management skills
- Specific work skills training
- Job placement and support with sustaining employment
- Independent life management
